Laura Italiano of the NY Post reports "Trevor Smith, 35, of Baldwin, LI - has managed to stay out of jail despite a lengthy New York rap sheet - including a probation sentence in 1999 for possessing a loaded illegal handgun. Yesterday's sentencing covered his August 2005 kicking of fan Roberto Lebron after Lebron accidentally spit on a car in Busta's entourage at West 19th Street and Sixth Avenue. It also covered his December 2006 beatdown of his former driver, Eddie Hatchet, with whom he was arguing over back pay, as well as his admission to driving drunk on 11th Avenue in March 2007, and a minor license suspension. Cops seized a machete from Busta's car when he was arrested in 2006 - a weapon the rapper yesterday said he won't be reclaiming from cops."

G-Unit rapper Albert Johnson aka Prodigy outside 100 Centre Street before he turns himself in for sentencing on a gun rap charge. A 22-caliber handgun was found in his bulletproof Chevy Suburban last year. He was expected to be incarcerated for 3 1/2 years but was given a 2 month delay to get his medical problems in order since he has Sickle Cell Anemia. He is due back in court on Feburary 13.

Laura Italiano of the NY Post reports, "Four rappers with the same taste in Cadillacs - along with the same court date and 9:30 a.m. appearance time - rolled up to the granite, Centre Street building, arriving more or less on time. Each was trailed by one or more lawyers, bodyguards, glowering additional posse members, jostling news photographers, doting, cellphone-photo-snapping fans and supporters, including rapper Birdman. Co-defendants Ja Rule and Lil Wayne got updates on their gun possession case."

The NY Post reports "G-Unit rapper Tony Yayo is off the hook for hitting the 14-year-old son of a top producer for rival The Game. Yayo's co-defendant yesterday took full responsibility for socking the kid in March 2007 - in a scuffle that at the time authorities feared might spur a rap war."

Rapper Trevor Smith aka Busta Rhymes enters 100 Centre Street during one of his many visits. He eventually pleaded guilty to assaulting his former driver, assaulting a fan, driving while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license. He'll do three years probation, 10 days of community service and pay a $1510.00 fine.
